Why We Need Your Information

Crisp Capital Limited will collect and process your personal information to make finance lending decisions to provide you with the goods/services you have applied for. Without this information we are unable to provide the goods/services.

Our Legal Basis For Processing Your Information

By signing the application form you are providing consent so that we can process your application and approach finance providers to find an appropriate solution for you.

What we will do with Your Information

All the personal data we hold about you will be processed by our staff and systems in the United Kingdom. Your information may be passed to third parties, where required, to provide the services you have applied for, as well as where there is a legal obligation for us to provide third parties with this information e.g. The FCA or The Police.

We will use your data to process your application for services provided by Crisp Capital Limited. This processing will include some or all of the below:

Automated decision making

• Our lenders may use automatic decisioning as part of their process.

• This will involve automatically requesting information from CRAs and using this data along with the other data provided to assess your suitability for the goods/services requested.

Passing to Credit Reference Agencies, to generate credit searches.

• We may search your record at credit reference agencies. The record of our search will NOT be seen by other organisations when you apply for credit in the future.

• If you are an owner, director or partner in a business, we may also check on your business. We will also check on any proposed guarantor, so you must have their permission to disclose their information.

• If you enter into an agreement with us, information on this agreement will be passed to the CRAs. Information remains on file for 6 years after the account is closed.

When processing your application, we may perform credit and identity checks on you with one or more credit reference agencies (“CRAs”).

To do this, we will supply your personal information to CRAs and they will give us information about you. This will include information from your credit application and about your financial situation and financial history. CRAs will supply to us both public (including the electoral register) and shared credit, financial situation and financial history information and fraud prevention information.

We will use this information to:

• Assess your creditworthiness and whether you can afford to take the product;

• Verify the accuracy of the data you have provided to us;

• Prevent criminal activity, fraud and money laundering;

• Ensure any offers provided to you are appropriate to your circumstances.

• The personal information we have collected from you may be shared with fraud prevention agencies that will use it to prevent fraud and money laundering and to verify your identity. • We use a third-party email marketing company to run marketing campaigns. If you consent to us marketing you, and we run a marketing campaign, some of your data may be passed to this provider.

Statistical Analysis

• Anonymised data on previous customer transactions is used to improve the products and services we offer, as well as to understand and improve the accuracy of our underwriting.

Who we will share your data with

We sometimes need to share the personal information we process with the individual themselves and also with other organisations, such as finance funders. Where this is necessary we are required to comply with all aspects of the General Data Protection Regulation (2018).

How long we will keep your data

Customer data is retained for no longer than is necessary, As such, data is retained for as long as an account remains open. Upon account closure, data is retained for 6 years. Data is deleted through appropriate technical safeguards when no longer required.
